Oringinal Notice

Important Update on the WTA EGM on 26th June

In order to develop a structure for the WTA that meets the future needs of the game in Wales the WTA have created a new Executive Board member that will be activated at the EGM.

The current Board have split the duties of the Commercial Director and created a specific Financial Director role. This change reflects the desire for the WTA to adopt a more commercially-led approach with particular emphasis on generating additional funding and revenue streams for the WTA.

As a result 5 posts will be now be elected at the EGM rather than the original 4, to have overall responsibility for the Governance and Development of Touch in Wales:

Managing Director

Commercial Director

Technical Director

Development Director

Financial Director

The detailed role descriptions can be downloaded by clicking on the job titles above.

Directors will be elected for a period of 4 years until after the 2019 Touch World Cup and will be required to accept registration as a WTA Director with Companies House.

There will be time set aside at the EGM to discuss this change with members and answer ay queries you may have.
