Touch Coaching Courses

Intermediate / Level One

The Wales Touch Association is running an intermediate/level 1 coaching course on the 23rd & 24th January 2016.

Venue: TBA (will likely be around the Cardiff area)

Costs: £60

Entry Requirements: None

 

Entry level course for anyone currently involved with Touch at a social level and wanting to start coaching and learn more about the game of Touch. Aimed at current and potential community club to regional coaches.

 

Course Outline:

The course is conducted over 12-14 hours with a combination of presentations and practical outside assessment.

Advanced / Level Two

The Wales Touch Association is running an Advanced/ Level 2 coaching course on the 30th & 31st January 2016.

Date: 30th & 31st January 2016. (9am to 5pm)

 

Venue: TBA (will likely be around the Cardiff area)

 

Costs: £120

 

Entry Requirements: To be eligible for this course a Level 1/Intermediate coaching qualification required or an accepted Recognition of Prior Learning. Advanced Coaching is aimed at those with good knowledge of the game and coaching experience. Aimed at the regional/ elite level of the sport.

 

Course Outline: Delivery of the Advanced/ Level 2 coaching course will be through a combination of home study and a face-to-face workshop. There will also be a post-course assessment to achieve accreditation (see below).

The home study is aimed at developing the necessary level of underpinning coaching knowledge by completion of the Home Study Workbook, issued prior to the L2 workshop.  The home study effort is estimated at between 15 -20 hours and involves reference reading, research, analysis, written workbook responses and presentation preparation.

 

The workshop element of the course is conducted over 12-14 hours with a combination of presentations, discussions, group work and practical outside assessment.
