WRU Touch Leagues
The WTA partnership with the WRU is in full flow, with the creation of 14 new Touch leagues across Wales this May. The leagues may be small in nature with typically 4 -8 teams each but they are significantly entering new areas and bringing Touch to a new audience. This is vital for our sustainability and growth of the sport.
For more information regarding the local Touch Leagues in the various regions, please contact the relevant Touch WRU Participation Officer below:
Gwion Kennard, Commercial Director quotes "I went to the Pencoed Touch league last Thursday, and though there were a limited number of teams, the venue is fantastic with great quality pitches and has loads of potential for growth. The refereeing was of a good standard with all refs having been on Level 1 coaching courses, and games played in a friendly yet competitive nature. We need to support and assist in the growth of these modules as they will provide the foundation for Touch in Wales, and working closely with the WRU we have access to a company with truly global reach".
